To a deer hunter there is nothing more satisfying than a successful hunt, followed closely by the enjoyment that you are going to get from consuming the deer that you harvested. Some hunters take great pride in the fact that they have the knowledge and ability to process their harvest. For the hunters that might not have the knowledge, or the facility, or just don't have the time to do it yourself, that is where we come in.
For the hunter that has to many irons in the fire, that is where we take pride in the job that we can do for you. We are the next best thing to processing yourself.
I have been the head meat cutter at Smithhisler Meats in Mount Vernon since 1990. I started Quick Cut Deer Processing LLC in 2003 at the request from friends and family for a place that they could drop off their deer and have the confidence that their deer would be taken care of in a professional manner. In 2003 Tammy and myself done about 50 deer and in 2016 we done about 450 deer. Besides Tammy and myself, we now have two daughters and 4 part time employees. Do to our full time jobs, we have evening and weekend hours.
Your deer will be skinned out and put in a walkin cooler within a couple hours, where it will hang for 2 to 3 days at 36 degrees. The next step will be the processing of the deer. We process, grind, and freezer wrap our deer one at a time than we freeze them. We guarantee that the deer that you bring in is the deer that you take home. The whole process is usually done within 7 days.
Every year we have the pleasure of converting non deer meat eater into deer meat eaters!!!!!
